I've seen Sjöström's The Phantom Carriage, which was great, and didn't realize that he was in this until I was watching it. Him and Bergman doing a movie together was definitely a good thing.
Not quite as good atmosphere as the other Bergman movies I've seen, but has the normal moral quality and religious questioning, albeit in a more subdued manner, that Bergman likes, which is a very good thing.
