Review of Wild Strawberries (2012) by Brent C — 26 Jun 2011
This, another Bergman masterpiece, details a cold, wounded man's search for meaning in his life through flashbacks to his childhood and young adult life and he travels to accept an honorary degree.
Through these flashbacks he comes to terms with himself and begins to better accept those around him as he experiences subtle yet emotinoally charged moments of pain and longing. "Wild Strawberries" is tender and touching without being sentimental and is by far the master filmmaker's warmest film.
