Review of Wild Strawberries (2012) by Bradley P — 11 Jun 2013
The beauty of life and the thoughts of death are present and drizzled throughout Wild Strawberries. The characters presented here are as lively and breathable as any I have ever seen. The film takes place in a day of Isak, an elderly doctor who is travelling to receive a degree and recalls much of his past as he begins the film as a lonely, selfish man.
Through meeting with other younger people and learning much of love and friendship, the selfishness dissolves and Isak comes to understanding some of the finer points in life. A truly beautiful film, and Max Von Sydow is in a Bergman film again!
