Review of Wild Horses (2015) by Kate L — 30 Jun 2015
I thought this film was really beautiful. An understated declaration of hope. Maybe calling it a crime drama is the problem, setting up expectations that won't be fulfilled. It seems to me the movie is about the slow progress society makes generation by generation, in this case, regarding border race relations, sexism and homophobia amongst men in America.
Its kept interesting and honest with a background crime mystery. Honest, understated and hopeful without ebullient optimism. I'd see it again.
