Review of Wild Hogs (2007) by Anurag B — 01 Jul 2011
If you owned a motorbike, met up with some like-minded friends, and went on a bike trip across country you would probably come back with some interesting tales to tell. Far more interesting, I would wager, than this lame film that seems to think bone-head teen comedy writing is good enough for a cast of late middle-aged men. I guess they're trying to make a point there.
But your stories wouldn't have to try so hard to be funny, until it's just slightly uncomfortable, wouldn't be so dully anecdotal and yet utterly unrealistic, wouldn't morph into a dull, unoriginal western plot that's out of place and kills the story, wouldn't be offensively homophobic and yet riddled with clearly gay main characters, and wouldn't go on and on about how we should all go out there and buy us some Apple computers.
Skip it and have your own adventure.
