Review of Wild Card (2015) by Gabriel H — 20 Mar 2015
29% This goes to show you that Action-Stars will ultimately fall. (I'm looking at you Neeson.) Wild Card is about this action body-guard, that when a problem comes, he is the only one that.. bla bla bla. Same thing we have been seeing with Neeson and with every other action star. Although SOME action may be well done, the story is really not. Statham is still a fantastic actor, and you can REALLY get intimidated by him at times, but he really deserves more. There was 0 Sofia Vergara, who was marketed heavily, and there was 0 Stanley Tucci, who was also marketed. I'm going to stop here. I'm DONE making this review. I'm sick and tired of waiting for a good movie. I thought that this was gonna be a great year for cinema, but there have only been 3 Good Movies in 3 Months. At least we get Furious 7 and Avengers AOU soon....
Overall: Wild Card is something that could've been good, but ended up as an action-movie cliche. Statham deserves better.
Rating: 29% and a D.
