Review of Wild Bill (2011) by Alan W — 22 Apr 2012
A promising debut - effectively directed without too much fuss. Having said that, the plot seems to come from a Scared Straight educational film and rather predictably signposted along the way while the east end thugs seem to be cast from a pretty posh Drama School.
But the film has its charms and one can even overlook the cliched 'prostitute with a heart of gold' (though a tad laughable) and enjoy this for what it is: a decent little indie about a father-and-son relationship that went astray.
