Review of Wild at Heart (1990) by Amie S — 17 Jan 2008
A brilliant parody of, and piercing cultural commentary on, 50s Americana and classical Hollywood, in a movie that is simultaneously an ultraviolent thriller, a touching romance, a creepy horror show , and a completely whacked out fairy tale.
Not to mention some truly amazing performances all around, and the usual rich cinematography and seamless soundtrack that one comes to expect from a Lynch film. A really fun movie to watch, probably my favorite Lynch movie.
