Review of Wild at Heart (1990) by Chris D — 19 Feb 2008
A very difficult movie to talk about... a crazy romp through a bleak yet bizarre set of occurences. Cage is excellent here, forget Moonstruck, this is what Cage is about - manic, almost crazy yet with what ight be deemed a true heart. This stands in obvious comparison to Dafoe's true lunatic (check his face in the bank!). Dern is a livewire and I don't even know what to say about her Mum...
Anyhow, this is a bizarre tale with a heart, definitely worth watching and it does make more sense than many of Lynch's movies though that is saying much.
