Review of Wild at Heart (1990) by Richard L — 12 Mar 2013
It's a movie about two lovers with more than their fair share of problems running away from a very disturbed mother. There are occasional symbolic references to The Wizard of Oz. This is not, in my opinion, one of Lynch's best movies.
First, the characters, although unusual, still feel stock. In other words, they are interestingly weird but lack depth and complexity. Second, the symbolism feels off.
