Review of Wild at Heart (1990) by Senor C — 14 Jun 2010
If ever I want someone to mess with my head, I turn to David Lynch and he never lets me down. Nicolas Cage and Laura Dern are brilliant as Sailor and Lula, a couple of perfectly matched misfits on the run from Lula's mother and her hired guns.
It's not just the intensity, the passion and the colour, it's the sheer weirdness of the things going on in the background, the guy with the walking stick, the overweight naked voodoo dancers.
Makes me want to watch Mulholland Drive again...
