I have no idea why this film rates so well, it is easy Lynch's worst movie, with a convoluted bad script and some dreadful acting from both Laura Dern & Nicholas Cage. It is helped from some wonderful cameos by William Dafoe and Isabella Rossellini, but the plot is so uninteresting, absurd and at times just quite dull that most of the time I felt like I was wasting 2 hours of my life watching a badly edited drug-induced Oliver Stone film.
