I can definitely understand how someone can take to the wilderness for an extended distance and amount of time, but what makes me cringe is watching some of the beginner mistakes that I was fortunate enough to be trained not to make.

Still, when you have to deal with the life issues that Cheryl Strayed did, getting away from it all is definitely the top priority.
