Review of Wild (2014) by Albertus A — 07 Nov 2015
It was hard to watch this at times, because it was just so emotionally deep and so real. Reese Witherspoon delivered her best performance for some time, and I loved how real her character was. She was not portrayed as this beautiful, perfect girl, but as a woman who was facing problems in her life, and this journey is a way to escape from those problems.
The story and scenes displayed during and before the journey are well short and extremely interesting. There was a clip in the hospital when I felt it was unnecessary (Cherl's mother without her eyes) and what I felt was an inconclusive ending felt bitter to an otherwise fantastic film.
