Wild at first glance looks like an "into the wild" ripoff, but after 15 minutes I knew this went much deeper than into the wild ever did. When a woman who has trouble dealing with life's tragic situations decides to right her wrongs by finding herself on the 1000 mile trail from Mexico to Canada, she encounters the answers she needs to finally move on with her life.

Reese Witherspoon gives the best performance of her career in this film, which is bolstered by the solid directing of Jean Marc Vallee and the excellent screenwriting of one of my favorite authors, Nick Hornby.
