Painfully dull. It just wasn't compelling - I didn't care about the lead character - she was whiny and made many, many bad decisions. I actually found Cheryl to be self-obsessed and unlikeable.
She thinks every bad thing that happens to her is tragic, and every thought she has is fascinating. Everybody's mother dies.
