Review of Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself (2002) by Jonas L — 02 Feb 2008
I get through my Netflix queue very slowly so I've forgotten why or when I added this movie. I liked it and related to some of the scenes - the young mother filled with anxiety about her daughter's birthday party, the suicidal brother-in-law reassuring her "They're always the same.
They're happy, then they're not, someone pukes, but it ends ok." and it does. The hospital seemed to have just the one doctor and nurse who therefore dealt with psychiatric patients as well as the oncology ward.
I loved the Glaswegian Chinese restaurant waiter - "a wee mandarin?".
