"An elephant drowning in an ocean of despair". This is a line from Wiener Dog and a more apt title. Ego & self-indulgence are the undertone to this non-story. Solondz told the audience in our post-film Q&A how lingering for not 4-6 seconds, but a full 12+ seconds on bloody diarrhea on pavement made the shot artistic & deep rather than funny.
Thank you for the enlightenment, Todd. My only redemption is I'm relieved that my friends I invited to the screening were unavailable.
