Review of Widows (2018) by Alex N — 19 Nov 2018
The cast of strong female leads takes this heist thriller to a whole other level. Davis and Deibicki performances stand out. Casual moviegoers will not enjoy as there are too many scene changes, subplots and confusing cuts to grab any attention.
The male characters are not developed enough and left the viewer wanting more, especially from Liam Neeson. The setting is a bit bland as well, as the city of Chicago holds absolutely no meaning to the story.
However, the way Steve McQueen's style is used to capture the fantastic plot and acting of Davis is what makes this movie shine.
