Review of Wide Awake (2007) by Joshua P — 21 Dec 2009

Boy this film took its time resolving a plot that everyone in the audience had completely buttoned down about 20 minutes in. It is far too long and washes back over the same events again and again with no substinative element.

Yes the slight twist at the end was mildly interesting putting the unifying bow on top of an overly long story, but christ this movie could have been an hour long episode of the Twilight Zone and been much better for it.

Way too little dialogue, odd behavior on the part of most of the supporting cast, and really it was just a little hard to take in do to its coma inducing boredom.
