Review of Wicker Park (2004) by Jami L — 20 Sep 2008
Wicker Park was a movie that I found very hedonic. Something invariably true about my personality, is I am always looking for a good thrill. I find mysteries and suspense entertaining. This movie's Single White Female mannerisms, is no doubt one of the reasons I found it amusing.
I thought Rose Byrne was very good at inveigling the audience in this film. Of course, I loved her performance in Troy, as well. She made the character of Alex very intriguing and slightly grim. I find Josh Hartnett to be exceedingly easy on the eyes. This film got bonus points for casting him as Matthew. Diane Kruger is a stunning beauty. The chemistry the two shared in this film was both heated and convincing.
I am a sucker for a love story. I think that is another reason I enjoyed this film. Wicker Park is definitely a thumbs up in my opinion. Everyone takes pleasure in a good plot twist, right? Millions of writers feed off that human addiction.
