Review of Wicker Park (2004) by Rink S — 24 Jan 2009
Ok. Don't get me wrong, the story is interesting, the music is great, cutting is very good, the actors are ok and it has nice ideas in it. But it is not only a remake of the wonderful french movie "l'appartement" from 1995, but it does cut quite nice scenes and twists and change the ending (in a very very american way). Last but not least this story does not work today, because the usage of the handy does make the whole story without sense if you put it into todays context.
So please.. go watch l'appartement if you want to see this story, how it really is.. :).
