Review of Wicked Little Things (2006) by Bhuwan V — 07 Dec 2007
Quite a sad tale. Back in the day (this is real life talking), they say that for every mile of track on the transcanada railway there is a dead chinaman. Essentially they were treated like throwawayable machinery to plan explosives etc. Many many died.
This movie takes it up a notch and back in the early 1900's a man named Charlton was using children to plan explosives in his copper mine. All of the children were trapped in the mines and died.
Fast forward to the present...and we have the zombie children coming for revenge on everyone for what was done to them. After they kill their victims, they are eaten. Leaving bloody corpses...
There was some really cool creepiness...not as much as I would have liked. And of course we get the usual unlkeable teenagers...but overall it was well done.
The motivation of the kids was great...plus the relationship between Emma and Mary (one of the zombie ghost children) was quite well done, using the familiar imaginary friend theme.
Quite enjoyable indeed.
