Review of Why Would I Lie? (1980) by Roger Ebert for Chicago Sun-Times — 06 Nov 2018
Why Would I Lie? made me very angry while I was watching it, because it is both a glorification of the arrogant stupidity of its central character, and an insult to the intelligence of its audience. Not a bad double play.
