Review of Why We Fight (2005) by Todd S — 22 Sep 2008
"Why We Fight" makes a compelling argument, for about half an hour at least, that the military industrial complex (spread across every Congressional district) and the volunteer army (consisting of poor kids that the powers that be are only too happy to shit on) have facilitated the rise of an imperialist U.
S. foreign policy since WWII. The rest of the movie is an unfocused assault on the Bush administration and lacks the substance of subsequent Iraq war documentaries like "No End in Sight" and "Bush's War".
