Review of Why Stop Now? (2012) by Jeremy K — 16 Aug 2012
This is one of those movies that really flies under the radar and deserves much more prominence. It seems like an odd bit of casting, with Jesse Eisenberg, Melissa Leo and Tracey Morgan, but it somehow works.
The story of a guy who has to get his mother drugs in order to get her into rehab could've gone horribly wrong, but thanks to a solid screenplay and some very likeable characters, it's a fun ride, mostly because the scenario itself is so bizarre you'll find yourself laughing along with it.
The plot does get a little scatterbrained at times, but it's nearly always engaging. You may have to do some searching to dig this gem up, but it's worth it.
