For once, a film in which the funniest bits come as surprise cameos and scenarios not seen in its trailer. It's a simple premise for some pretty base humour. Over the holidays, Ned (Bryan Cranston), and his family visit his daughter at Stanford, where he meets his biggest nightmare: crass Silicon Valley billionaire boyfriend, Laird (James Franco).
Megan Mullally is hilarious as always as Ned's wife Barb.
