I saw Why Don't You Play in Hell at Cinema du Parc in Montreal. It was the perfect movie for me to see, alone, in a foreign country, on Halloween night. If Quentin Tarantino possessed the entire moviemaking team from Spielberg's Super 8, and then jumped into the middle of a yakuza war in order to film a low-budget action flick, you'll begin to get the idea of this movie.

Genres get blended as thoroughly and bloodily as the characters themselves - who, oddly, also get enough backstory and character development to actually become almost-fully-realized blood-drenched characters.
