I've never been a fan of Perry's work, but I can appreciate the great performances. In terms of gender, the women win hands down. I guess Perry felt a need to implement a ton of girl power since this film is chock full of it.
Special kudos to Tasha Smith (for having the most eccentric performance of the year) and Janet Jackson (for showing some real acting chops), although I hated how her character was implemented towards the end.
She's not the Messiah, you know.
