If you like black stage plays, this is one of the best available on DVD. The actors are more realistic and credible than some stageplays on DVD where the cast members tend to over-act in an effort to insensify the experience for a live audience. The performances in WDIGM are just right.
The singing is terrific and Tony Grant ("Troy") steals the show in the second act when he serenades Cheryl Riley ("Sheila").
This play varies a great deal from the movie, which isn't a bad thing. The movie version was entertaining, but dry at times.
