Review of Who's That Knocking at My Door (1968) by Caleb M — 09 Feb 2008
A beautiful early Scorsese film that, like Mean Streets, relies primarily on the emotions, personalities, and beliefs of its characters rather than a normal plot. There are so many beautifully shot moments in this film, like the fantasy scne set to the Doors' "The End" or the scene at the party when a gun is used to frighten and entertain.
The performances from Harvey Keitel and Zina Bethune are amazing in that they feel like they aren't even in a film and you are just watching two people in their everyday lives.
