Review of Who's That Knocking at My Door (1968) by Paul N — 12 Jan 2009
Marty's debut, and first run at a Little Italy coming-of-age story, is packed with film school pretension and smacks of a young man finding his feet as a filmmaker, but is still loose, stylish and highly watchable.
It's most interesting to see from a career perspective, especially as we know he perfects the form not long after with MEAN STREETS. Harvey Keitel is along for the ride here too, also making his debut, and he's terrific.
