Review of Who's That Knocking at My Door (1968) by Eric M — 23 Jul 2009
Martin Scorsese's first feature film is unfocused and overlong, but his talent still shines through, particularly in his innovative use of camera technique and pop music soundtrack, trademarks that would come to define his later films .
A flawed but interesting work featuring a good lead performance from Keitel as a small-time Little Italy hood who falls for a girl who is his polar opposite. Scorsese would go on to explore these themes more greatly in subsequent works (particularly "Mean Streets"), but this is still worth seeking out for fans of the director.
