Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Kit S — 10 May 2008
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf is one of the best plays ever written, and it translates pretty well to the screen. I have a few problems with the setting of a few scenes and some cuts that were made from the original play, but it's still quite good.
The perfromances are the real reason to see this. Elizabeth Taylor is very good (she did win an oscar) but it's Richard Burton who hits it out of the ballpark, the fact that he didn't win an oscar is a crime against humanity.
