Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Tyler S — 04 Jun 2008
Some thoughts running through my mind as I was watching this movie: 1. This is intense. 2. I feel so bad for Richard Burton who has to put up with this bitch. 3. Wow...Richard Burton is tormenting the guests and I kinda like it. 4. I feel so bad for Elizabeth Taylor who has to put up with this bastard. 5. This is so messed up; I'm rooting for a pair of lovers I deeply, deeply dislike.
Brings out the sadist in us. It's such a cruel, cat-in-the-mouse game and it's the hosts that inevitably win out in the end no matter how twisted it gets. And we love it. Exhaustive, but memorable enough for a lifetime.
