Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Elliott F — 19 Dec 2010
A knockout of a film in every respect, Mike Nichols' adaptation of Edward Albee's play Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is a loaded, scathing study of a disintegrating marriage. Elizabeth Taylor (1966's Best Actress), Richard Burton, George Segal, and Sandy Dennis (1966's Best Supporting Actress) are all absolutely brilliant in their alcohol-fueled performances.
