Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Richard G — 26 Mar 2011
So I'd been thinking of renting this movie for awhile and then Ms Taylor just recently passed away so I rented this and watched it that same day. My first Elizabeth Taylor movie. I knew very little about this other than she'd won an Academy Award for her role as a nasty alcoholic.
I guess I should have been prepared for it to be unpleasant given her character but I wasn't prepared for how dark and nasty this movie is. Didn't like it at all. I can appreciate the acting and the storyline/character development but I did not like this movie at all.
