Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Kerby H — 14 Aug 2013
It is too noisy and at times even disturbing and it is certainly not for everyone, but Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf has a beautifully honest portrayal of a troubling marriage, very realistic characters and personalities, some quite strong lines, unexpected, moving ending and truly fantastic acting from its whole cast, especially phenomenal Taylor in quite possibly her best performance.
A shameful choice from the Academy to not pronounce it Best Picture and it is even more disturbing to which film they gave the award.
