Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Jim D — 16 Feb 2014
I've watched two movies this weekend made in 1966. The most uplifting of those(A Man For All Seasons) ended with the main character being beheaded. While well made and with performances that certainly deserved the accolades they received, this is perhaps the most depressing film I have ever seen.
I understand the source of it and the ending certainly redeems it somewhat..but wow...watch with care.
