Review of Whole New Thing (2005) by Jade H — 20 Jan 2008
Why do I continue to torture myself with Canadian cinema? The characterization for the film's protagonist, Emerson,(A terrible sketch of a thirteen year old to begin with) rarely follows any logic and his level of maturity and sense changes at the screenwriter's whim, eventually leading to a ridiculously melodramatic ending.
The score also has this weird out of place celtic thing going for it. Not impressive. However, I was impressed with Aaron Webber. I look forward to seeing him do something decent in the future.
