This documentary makes me angry. Not with those who made it, but rather with the American Corporation Machine, Bush and dumb people in general...

The environment we leave the next generation will be in a sad state, a very sad state. Much of the environmental trauma that this world will endure in the next 20 or so years can be avoided. The electric car is not some dream, it was a reality. It is a reality. The larger reality is that the general public is very misinformed on this subject, and this is do largely because of the controll the American auto makers have with the government, as well as the media. Bush has allowed this to happen, and in Canada, Harper isn't much better-despite what you may read in the papers saying otherwise.

Rick Mercer did a bit on a Canadian Car Company that has a fully functional electric car ready for production. They are being shut out of the market by the Canadian Government at present. I was blown away-first, that a Canadian Car Company exists, but secondly by the fact that this isn't something that the government would embrace and showcase to Canadians. This is of course the same government that insists on keeping the plastic bag around so dog owners can pick up dog shit and dispose of it in such a bag. Best to put something biodegradable in plastic...

All this backwards thinking really frusterates me. This planet could be in such better shape, we as people could be healthier and happier. Why not do the best for everyone?

So many people out there drive their gas guzzling SUV's, tossing cigarettes and other garbage out he window, filling landfills with recycleables. Not your problem? Is this not your planet?? Take a drive out to your local landfill for a look at how much waste flips over the fence and effects nature, and wildlife. Pour your oil into the ground and drink the water from your well, and see how it tastes.

As long as the government is going to be complacent on environmental issues, then the auto makers and igonorant bastards will continue to spoil this planet. Spread the word, do your part...
