Review of Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) by Isaiah S — 11 Sep 2012
An incredibly entertaining and funny film from Robert Zemickis (which surprised me), and Steven Speilberg (which surprised me even more). Bob Hoskins is great fun and hugely convincing, as is Joanna Cassidy.
Christopher Lloyd, not so much, but that made the film better for it, because his character turned out to be a zany villian, and created the perfect atmosphere for him. the animation and film itself is a landmark achievement in film, and the film certainly deserved the 4 academy awards it won.
very funny, very fun, the whole family should see it. some one-liners will thankfully pass over children's heads, but the adults will enjoy them tremendously. great viewing.
