Review of Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) by Stefan G — 25 Dec 2012
Robert Zemeckis has had a lot of help doing this, but that's what's great about a collaborative effort; it allows for otherwise impossible works of art to spring forth. The characters are all delightfully insane, which fits well into the old-fashioned presentation.
The general aesthetic works very well with the core concept behind the movie. The story, even though it may differ from the original novel in some ways, is still genuinely original. If you want to see nearly every classic cartoon character from your grandmother's day, right on the silver screen, this is the movie for you.
