Review of Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) by Andy G — 10 Jun 2011
This film has an extremely impressive mix of live action and traditional animation. Not only is the animation top notch, but many of the interactions between the live action and animation elements is extremely well done. Technically, this is probably the most impressive piece of traditional animation I've seen.
Story wise, the movie had some twists and turns, and had some unexpected elements. I have to admit I called the ending, but most people might not. Had some decent acting as well.
Overall I give this film 8.2/10*.
* I tend to rate movies higher than most people (sometimes even going over 10/10), simply because I tend to enjoy movies more often than others. To help put my rating in perspective, this movie scored better than approximately 53% of the movies I have reviewed since joining this site.
