Review of Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) by Noname — 31 Dec 2014
A classic mix of animation and live action that still holds up today and hasn't been bettered. It's still amazing to see the Warner Bros toons mixing with the Disney ones and wrapping it all up in a film noir storyline was an inspired idea.
Hoskins also does an amazing job making you believe he actually sees Roger throughout. It must have been incredibly difficult to pull off! Adults and children will still enjoy this film (the end with Doom is still quite scary) and the fact that they haven't really repeated this trick again shows how unique the whole thing is.
