This documentary directed by Kevin Macdonald (The King of Scotland), is a detailed and intimate look at the life and career of Whitney Houston, who, of course, possessed one of the greatest singing voices ever.
The first half of this film covers the early years of Houston's life including her meteoric rise to mega stardom .However, the second half of this 2 hour movie examines her steady deterioration, leading eventually to her death at the young age of 48.
In my opinion, that part of the doc was too prolonged and became very painful to watch. leaving me at the end with a profound sense of sadness.
