Review of White Squall (1996) by Codie E — 14 Jul 2008
Amateur work from Ridley Scott. Everything about this from the cinematography, performances, script and mood suggests a TV movie. And when anyone is in doubt they just rip off Dead Poet's Society without having built up the emotion that that film does (the courtroom sequence for example - Jeremy Sisto might as well have been saying "Oh Captain my Captain" instead of ringing the bell).
