Review of White Squall (1996) by Ratnakar S — 22 Jun 2010
Loved this movie when I was growing up. It's a great high-seas adventure. I like the characters although their personalities and individual issues are admittedly a little cliche at time. You got the tough guy housing an embarrasing secret that comes out later in the film.
You got the rich guy who has a perfect-looking family but really has serious daddy issues. The list goes on and on, but despite that, I still really enjoy this movie and the acting. The sinking sequence is still awesome to watch and the ending is still effective and sad.
Really good adventure film with good acting. I had no idea this was a Ridley Scott film, which probably explains why I love it so.
