Review of White Oleander (2002) by Dhaniah S — 24 Sep 2007
Movies about parent-child relationships usally hit a nerve with me. This one is no different. The cinematography was beautifully conceptualised, and it was heart-wrenching to see Alison Lohman's character's transition throughout the movie due to her mother's hold over her.
Performances from Alison Lohman, Michelle Pfeiffer and Renee Zellweger were convincing and superb, and really, who could expect any less?
