Like most books that I love, it's hard for me to love an abridged version of a wonderfully written story as equally as the original work. however, I DID actually like the film as a separate work. I thought the acting was good.
I thought the version that they DID use wasn't bad, but I don't think that it will make people want to read the book, which was much deeper and richer of a story than this, and that makes me sad.
